I was at a friends house, and we were talking. One of his flatmates was playing music on his computer as we talked. Then “Ebeneezer Goode” comes on. My friend proceeds to tell me about how shocked he was when he found out what the song was about.

“Why, what's it about?” I asked.

So he told me it was about ecstacy. Which I knew – it's just that when he said he was shocked I assumed he meant something else I hadn't already realised.

Yeah.

So, then, aboout an hour later, on the hunt for new clothes, I was in Farmers (those of you wanker enough to be horrified at this will at least be relieved to hear that I didn't find what I was looking for there. Your relief will then be tempered by the fact that I did find what I was looking for in Hallensteins...), when Grace Jones' “Pull up to my Bumper” starts playing. This time I was horrified. I mean, there were children present. That certainly wasn't appropriate.

Then I remembered that most people seem to think the song has something to do with cars...

Something is clearly wrong with all this. I'm not sure what it is, but I have a sneaking suspicion it's me.
